Our Rent Payment Policy
Rent is due on the 1st day of each month. Rent may paid online, mailed to PO Box 1376 Easton, PA 18044 or dropped off at (location given at time of lease signing), Easton. If you drop it off, please put your payment in an envelope with your name and address on it and give it to (name given at lease signing). Rent receipts are available by request only, please call.
Rent is considered late after 1PM on the 5th day of the month. A late fee will be automatically charged to your account if rent is not received in the mail on the 5th day or if it has not been dropped off.
If rent is not received by the 10th day of the month, a Landlord-Tenant Complaint will be filed at the District Court. A hearing is scheduled within 7 days. A constable will deliver notice or post it on your door requiring you to appear in court. In addition to the court costs, our fee is charged to your account, per our lease agreement, when the Landlord-Tenant Complaint is filed.
If judgement is entered against you in court, you have 10 days to pay your rent, court costs and fees. If you do not pay, an Order for Possession is filed (on the 11th day) which gives you 10 more days to pay.
If you have not paid your rent, costs and fees by the 11th day from when the Order for Possession is filed, Eviction occurs. The Constable will require you to leave the premises and you will not be allowed to re-enter. You can be arrested by the Police if you re-enter without permission from the Landlord
